Quantity Surveying

Quantity Surveying (QS) is a professional service provided by construction industry professionals with expert knowledge on construction costs and contracts.

The Quantity Surveyor manages all aspects of the contractual and financial aspects of construction projects and help to ensure construction projects are completed within its projected budget.

The Quantity Surveyor is best and simply known as the Cost Accountant of Construction Projects.

The principal, Mr Chin, is a member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), founding institution of quantity surveyors and is also a member of the local Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV).

The scope of works under the quantity surveying role / service include the following aspects:

• Cost estimate, cost planning and cost management
• Tender management including preparing of contract conditions, summary of breakdown of prices and tender documents
• Contract management and contractual advice
• Cost & Value Management
• Valuation of construction work (Project Certification & Verification)
• Procurement Management
• Claims and dispute management

• Quantity Surveying Consultancy Services (Retainer Basis) for a Term of two (2) years by Singapore Zoological Gardens

• Redevelopment of Site at No. 2 Kung Chong Road to a New 7-Storey Building with Basement Carparks and Car Showroom & Ancillary Facilities ~ Automobile Association of Singapore, (AAS) Corporate HQ

• 6 Storey with 2 Basement on Site at Changi Business Park, Singapore (Design & Build Procurement Mode) ~ Kingsmen Creatives Limited Corporate HQ Building

• New erection of 1 Block of a 6-Storey Residential Apartments with commercial use at 1^st storey and mechanized car park at Somme Road, Singapore ~ Le Somme

• Supply, install and testing & commissioning of the Life Support System (LSS) and Panda Enclosure, Audio Visual Systems at River Safari Phase 3 Project at the Singapore Mandai Zoo for Wildlife Reserve Singapore, Singapore Zoological Gardens

• Coc San Hydropower Project, Vietnam for subsidiary of listed company (tender/contract documentation)

• 3-storey hospital with one basement (former Adam Road, Hospital) at 19 Adam Road, Singapore ~ Fortis Colorectal Hospital

• Erection of a block of 5-storey (Total 20 Units) with a basement, attic, mechanical car parking and a swimming pool at Stevens Road
