Quantity Surveying

Quantity Surveying (QS) is a professional service provided by construction industry professionals with expert knowledge on construction costs and contracts.

The Quantity Surveyor manages all aspects of the contractual and financial aspects of construction projects and help to ensure construction projects are completed within its projected budget.

The Quantity Surveyor is best and simply known as the Cost Accountant of Construction Projects.

 

The principal, Mr Chin, is a member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), founding institution of quantity surveyors and is also a member of the local Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV).

The scope of works under the quantity surveying role / service include the following aspects:

  • Cost estimate, cost planning and cost management
  • Tender management including preparing of contract conditions, summary of breakdown of prices and tender documents
  • Contract management and contractual advice
  • Cost & Value Management
  • Valuation of construction work (Project Certification & Verification)
  • Procurement Management
  • Claims and dispute management
